TCAF is comic arts festival that focuses on showcasing the craft and creators of comics to many tens of thousands of visitors each year. It is a festival that allows fans to interact directly with artists, writers, and publishers rather than simply consume pop culture.
As an attendee, I have always marvelled at the breadth and depth of creative talent on display at the festival. Seeing so many styles and structures of storytelling in one place inspired me to set a goal to create my own comic and return to TCAF as a vendor.
As a result, I am excited to announce that Bear & Fox debuts at the 2021 Toronto Comic Arts Festival. It is a DIY passion project created in the tradition of hand-made books written, illustrated, printed, and stapled by the creator.
The book is the true story of two friends, petty arguments, and dire consequences. When Bear and Fox go for a hike in the forest, seemingly minor differences in preference create significant rifts between them.
